I have been a Wanaka local for the past 20+ years. My family moved here when I was still at school, and I was fortunate enough to play rugby and represent Otago at age grade level. My passion for sport has led me to pursue a career helping people better understand their bodies and how to maximise performance.
After completing my studies in Sports Performance and Massage Therapy I started building my business with many valued locals. For the last 13 years I have had the opportunity to work with elite athletes in a variety of sports as a provider for High Performance Sport NZ. I value continual professional development, and my desire to be a well-rounded practitioner not only in massage, but also in coaching, led me to return to study. In 2016, I completed my Graduate in Applied Science Specialising in Physical Conditioning.
I am part of the Athlete Development Programme at my local gym The Fit Collective and I enjoy coaching elite young athletes in my community. I believe that the athletes will benefit from my expertise while they are still developing, and it will provide an excellent foundation for their future pursuits. In 2017, I became a Functional Movement Screen practitioner to create a more holistic approach - not for only treating pain, but also teaching how to prevent the pain from returning.
Outside of massage, I'm always finding new ways to move my body. In 2018 I competed in Spartan Race Australia, and in 2019 I competed in a Spartan Race Hawaii. I was recently introduced to Salsa dancing and have loved getting out of my comfort zone and learning something new.
Family is very important to me, so when I'm not at work you'll find me hanging out with my brothers and their babies and making the most of the beautiful days here in Wanaka. This keeps me focused on the bigger picture and allows me to do what I do best which is treat and give my clients 100% every time.
